マーケティングインターンに参加した感想(Momomiさん)

英語で文章を書くのは大変！

「英語で文章を書いて、ネット上で発信するのってこんなに大変なんだ！」ということが分かりました。

普段日本語で自分で考えていることを、パッと英語に翻訳出来なかったです。

とりあえず英文を作ってみて、それが合っているのかどうかピンとこなくて、Chat GPTに添削してもらって、フィリピン人の先生たちにも確認してもらいました。

一連の英文作成の過程を通じて、毎回自分の英語のできなさを痛感させられました。

勉強不足を痛感

フィリピン留学前には「漠然と英語を話せるようになりたい」と思っていましたし、「語学留学をしたら英語が話せるようになる」と思っていました。

でも、実際に英語で文章を書く業務を行うことで、「英語で話す・書く」というのは、そういうフワフワとした曖昧なものではなかったです。

もっともっと具体的に、そしてたくさんの英語表現を学ぶ必要性を理解しました。

これは実際にフィリピンに来て、マーケティングインターンの業務で英語を書くことではじめて本当の意味で実感できたことです。

業務に毎週の締め切りがある点も良かった。

SNSマーケティング業務には毎週締め切りがある点も振り返ってみると良かったです。

締め切りがあることで、緊張感を持って英文作成に臨めました。

締め切りがないとダラダラとしていたはずですので、「締切がある業務」を担当することで、ついつい緩んでしまいがちな語学留学の日々をメリハリを持って過ごすことが出来ました。

I went to see the sunset at Manila Bay, which is known as one of the three most beautiful sunsets in the world🌅.
I recommend going there during the dry season (November to May) when the air is clear and the sunset is beautiful.

This time, we watched the sunset while enjoying an afternoon tea🍰 at the Conrad Manila’s C Lounge.
It is a little far from the dormitory, but you can enjoy the whole day since SM Mall of Asia is next to it!

クリスマスパーティー

A Christmas party was held at school.
All the students enjoyed playing a game and exchanging presents.🎁
Homemade coffee jelly made by a teacher tasted good.
Village and shopping mall are in a Christmas mood.
It makes me feel very excited.

年越しイベント the New Year countdown held at Quezon Memorial Circle

I went to the New Year couｎtdown held at Quezon Memorial Circle🎆
We went there via jeepney.
There were stalls selling food and toys for children, which reminded me of the summer festivals in Japan.
The countdown event was a blast, showcasing popular artists like Ely Buendia and Ben&Ben.

日曜日の屋台市場 in Makati

This is the Legaspi Sunday Market held in Makati.
Many stores were selling local vegetables and fruits, handmade crafts, and food from different countries.
It took about 2 hours to get there by jeepney🚍️ and MRT🚉, but it was a delightful time.

フィリピンのローカルフードチェーン店 INASAL

I went to a well-known fast food restaurant in the Philippines, Mang Inasal.
For the first time, I was able to order in English.
Chicken Inasal is the most popular dish, but I tried Palabok, which was recommended by my teacher, Denis.
It’s not a flavor you can find in Japan, but the rich, savory sauce was delicious.

チョコレートの朝食

Champorado, a traditional chocolate porridge that is an integral part of Filipino food culture, was served at breakfast in the dormitory　—　a perfect way to start the day!
Glutinous rice is cooked in tablea, with milk or sugar added to taste or as an unexpected and delicious combination, with dried fish.
Tablea is a chocolate tablet made from pure cacao beans. It can be unsweetened or lightly sweeteneｄ　and is also recommended to be dissolved in milk.
There are so many delicious varieties available in supermarkets, so be sure to give them a try!
